On November 10-16 the Primorskiy Philharmonic hosted the XII International Jazz Festival with the support of U.S. Consulate General Vladivostok. For 6 days, musicians from the United States, Japan, France, Korea, Germany, and Russia wowed audiences on the Philharmonic’s main stage. American masters performed in three concerts as the Staple Quartet, the Freedom Jazz Movement Quartet, and singer Myrna Clayton, and were both the opening and closing acts. TheFreedom Jazz Movement Quartetalso conducted master-classes at the Academy of Arts and Art School for Children #3, sharing their experience and providing invaluable inspiration to future musicians. The events attracted thousands of jazz devotees from Vladivostok and all over Primorskiy Krai.
