On February 12, as part of the Consulate’s Sports and Friendship program and UGMK’s outreach program, American basketball superstars Candace Parker Williams, Diana Taurasi, Kristi Toliver and Deanna Nolan and American coaches Todd Troxel and Jenny Moshak visited School 99. They challenged students in a series of athletic drills, gave tips on the technique to a perfect layup, and lead the students in competition against each other.
In all, roughly 80 students from the school participated in this workshop with the American basketball legends, dribbling and dunking their way to friendship based in a mutual love of the game of basketball.
