Cooperation between the Perm State National Research University (PSNRU) and the University of Louisville is growing.  As part of that cooperation, three American students studied the Russian language from February to June 2014.  The students resided on the university campus, attended Russian classes daily, and explored the city and life in Russia during their free time. All of them commented on the friendly atmosphere of their sister city, its well-developed system of public transportation, and the accessibility of shops.  On June 23-30, another group, students and faculty from the University of Louisville, took part in the summer institute “Human Rights in the Information Era.” The Louisville citizens visited some courts of the Perm region, learned about Perm city’s self-governance system, and met with representatives of Perm’s Regional Legislative Assembly. Later this summer, the Perm-Louisville Sister Cities non-profit group has arranged for an internship of PSNRU Law School students and faculty at the University of Louisville.
