Health and Travel  Alert – U.S. Mission Russia (April 9, 2020) 

Location:  Russia, country-wide 

Event:  Departure of Special Chartered Flight  

This morning 102 U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents departed Russia in route to the United States on a flight chartered by the U.S. gGovernment.   

We are aware that there are U.S. citizens who were not able to take advantage of the flight today.  While there are no plans currently for additional chartered flights, we continue to monitor various sources of information for updates on the availability of future commercial airline flights.  We will provide updates as we have further information.   

Continued Communication: Also, please continue to monitor our website and ensure you are enrolled in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).   We will issue Health and Travel alerts on a regular basis and email you directly when we have additional information regarding charter flights.  In case of emergency, please reach out to us via the following points of contact – Emergency Contact List.
