Emergency Message to U.S. Citizens: Explosion at Shopping Center in St. Petersburg

Media reports an explosion at a grocery store on Kondratyevskiy Prospekt in the Kalininsky District in St. Petersburg.  U.S. citizens should avoid the area. We ask U.S. citizens who are safe and unharmed to contact family and friends directly to advise them of your safety and whereabouts.  For your safety, avoid any police activity and monitor local media for further information.
