The Law Enforcement Section is responsible for coordinating and implementing criminal justice and law enforcement technical assistance programs in Russia funded by the Department of State pursuant to a U.S./Russian bilateral agreement. The LES office works closely with the Ministry of the Interior, General Procuracy, State Duma, Federal Service for Financial Monitoring, Federal Service of Narcotics Control, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Customs Service and other agencies to combat terrorism, organized crime, narcotics, corruption, economic and financial crimes, intellectual property rights violations, cybercrime, child pornography and trafficking in persons.
