Event: Media sources indicate that on Sunday, January 31, demonstrations are being planned throughout Russia in support of an opposition activist. Please refer to U.S. Mission Russia’s January 29 Demonstration Alert for more details. We have learned of an additional planned demonstration in St. Petersburg, where demonstrators plan to gather at the beginning of Nevsky Avenue.
