American Christmas in Yekaterinburg

On December 27, the U.S. Consulate General presented American Christmas traditions to the people of Yekaterinburg at a street festival, called Christmas Trip, which was organized by Stol food magazine.

U.S. Consul General Marcus Micheli greeted guests and the Consulate staff conducted a series of master classes for the public. Children and adults assembled bookmarks with LED lights, and learned the basics of circuitry.  Visitors enthusiastically decorated gingerbread cookies and tried hot apple cider. Our guests took photos with Santa Claus, listened to “The Night Before Christmas”, took quizzes and played English language games. The Vita in Canto Choir filled the cold Ural air with beautiful carols, and Russians guests in our tent and American diplomats joined the choir singing the most popular songs.
